The Normalized Difference Water Index (NDWI)
Our goal is to give worldwide access to a data set going back over a decade collected every 2 days by satellite and available for each kilometer square of our planet.
A database storing global and temporal NDWI data made available through an API that allows scientists, researchers, agronomists and decision makers to make best use of this valuable resource.
Detailed documentation on accessing the API from any language people wish to use, PHP, Javascript, ASP.Net, Perl to Python and beyond.
A strategy to ensure that this multi-terabyte database has secure funding that can support the project and keep the database online for future generations to study. In hand with constructing a long term plan, sustainability runs through everything we do.
